On February 28, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., we will host a free screening of the movie Miss Representation. This is the rescheduled date from the night in the Fall when we had to postpone due to weather. There will be child care available for $5 per child, and we hope to see lots of moms, dads, guardians, grandparents, teachers, administration and RIC students and faculty for a viewing of this important movie about the portrayal of girls and women in the media. Depending upon the size of the crowd, the movie will be shown in either the teacher’s lounge or the cafeteria. You can get more information about the movie at http://www.missrepresentation.org/ or watch the trailer below. Hope to see you there. So that we can coordinate on venue, please contact Machua Millett as soon as possible if you plan to attend and if you will need child care.
