Pizza night is always a lot of fun at Henry Barnard. It gives kids a chance to see each other outside of the constraints of the classroom. It provides parents with an opportunity to socialize with other parents and become a part of our community. We are looking forward to another fun night on October 2nd, from 5:30-7:30 pm in the HBS Dining Room. To attend, please be sure to complete your registration form and return the form and your payment ($7/adult and $5/child) marked “Pizza Night / Parent Drawer” no later than Thursday, September 27th. Registration forms will go home in backpacks by Friday, September 14th. If you didn’t receive yours, you can download it here. Remember, all checks should be made out to RIC Foundation. Pizza night takes places during National Hispanic Heritage Month and to celebrate, the global awareness committee will have a map to mark your family’s country of origin. After enjoying some food and social time, you might also want to take in the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico at Roberts Hall. Tickets are available at the box office and for HBS students are only $5 each, with one additional ticket at $5 each.
To make the night a success we also need your help in two other ways. First, we really need some volunteers to help check in families, serve food, and do some light clean up. If you have been looking for a way to get involved and help out, here is your chance. To volunteer, simply click on the link below to choose the task that works for you, or contact Tamara Gruber. Last thing, please make sure your child understands that even though we are there to have fun, we still need to take care of the school so no running in the halls and inside voices please! Hopefully the “backyard” will be open for some fun and games.
