The HBPSA is hosting a Walk-a-Thon Fundraiser for Henry Barnard School on Friday, March 30th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Walk-a-Thon will take place at the RIC outdoor track. Let’s hope the weather stays beautiful but if not, the rain date is Monday, April 2nd. Since March is National Nutrition Month, our Health and Wellness committee thought it would be fitting to host an event that encourages physical activity. If they can, students will recruit sponsors for a flat rate or collect based on the number of laps they complete. Either way, all student will participate for a total of 45 minutes.
Sponsorship checks should be made payable to Rhode Island College Foundation with “HBS Walk-a-Thon” noted on the memo line. All funds raised will be used to support the students and faculty by allowing the school to procure computers, software, playground equipment, and other necessary educational materials.
To get your kids in the spirit, we ask that they wear the following colors on the day of the Walk-a-Thon:
Pre-K = BLUE
Kindergarten = RED
1st Grade = YELLOW
2nd Grade = GREEN
3rd Grade = BLUE
4th Grade = RED
5th Grade = GREEN
